I do find myself often swayed by the opinions of others.
Looking back a few years ago, I was particularly obsessed with JK uniforms, and every time I saw those exquisite little dresses I was in a great mood, so I had quite a collection of them too.
As a result, when my mom saw them, she advised me to return most of them and keep only a few because she thought the styles were all pretty much the same and I basically wouldn't be able to wear them after work.
In fact, until she reminded me, I was in love with these clothes, didn't feel duplicated, and had in mind that I could still wear them out on weekends or vacations to meet up with friends.
But after she repeatedly persuaded me, I actually gradually lost interest in JK uniforms and eventually sold those once beloved little dresses.
Then I bought the Switch, and within a few months added the Alien laptop, and my mom suggested that I sell the Switch again, saying that I wouldn't need it with the playbook.
But the gaming experience is fundamentally different between NS and PC, but I'm now wavering again and considering selling the Switch...
I've recently become obsessed with a love interest who has rekindled my passion for life, and I'll be spending some money on peripherals to support him.
I ended up feeling a pang of guilt when my friend told me I was spending money like water.
Hi, buddy!
A warm hug to you first after reading what you shared.
Let's briefly summarize what happened. You feel that you are easily influenced by other people's words and change your mind, for example, you liked JK uniforms before and bought a lot of them, but your mom thought that the style was similar and impractical, and you sold a lot of them after you heard that; you added a gaming laptop after you got a Switch, and your mom suggested to sell the Switch, and you are hesitant to sell the Switch now; you have been chasing after the stars to buy the peripherals recently, and your friends said that you spend too much, and you feel guilty.
Sharing a few tips with you.
① Selective listening.
You mentioned JK uniforms, selling Switch and buying peripherals, all of which were swayed after listening to your mom or friends.
It's worth asking yourself if you didn't realize the problem before, and only realized you bought too much after being reminded?
If people's opinions make you more conscious and realize that you overspent before, it's good to adjust your practices instead.
② Measure for Measure.
From your description, it looks like you are already working with a steady income. Doing what you love with the money you earn would have been great.
Of course in moderation, don't overspend for stargazing or shopping.
As long as it's within the financial limits and it makes you happy, do what you want and don't feel guilty about it.
(iii) Multiple perspectives.
You feel that you are indecisive and easily swayed. In fact, I'm easily influenced by the people around me in my life.
Think of it this way: other people's opinions just provide new perspectives that help us see things more fully.
By thinking from multiple perspectives, you can be more objective and make more appropriate choices.
I'm Smiley, I hope my answer helps you, the world and I love you.
