Test Prep Failure and Marriage Anxiety: why am I always upset?

Nothing really cheers me up these days. Preparing for exams didn't work out either, so maybe I didn't give it my best shot. Now that I'm at the age to get married, I can't find a suitable person, and my job is unstable. My family is sad all day long, and I'm even more upset when I look at them. Now I feel particularly annoyed by everything I see, and I often quarrel with people because of their unintentional words or actions, and my heart can be blocked for a long time. I used to be an optimistic person, how did I become like this?

Hello building owner!

You feel that you have accomplished nothing. You are busy every day but have little result. You want to pass the examination to upgrade your education, but you failed; you want to get married and start a family, but you didn't meet the right person. It seems that all your efforts have been wasted, and you can't get what you want, so you are particularly frustrated and feel that you have little sense of value.

Is that so?

Life is supposed to be full of uncertainties, and there are troubles everywhere that you can't get what you want. It's not necessarily that you're not trying hard enough, or that anyone is deliberately targeting you, but life itself is like that, with ups and downs, sometimes uneventful, sometimes suddenly lucky, and sometimes unlucky one after another.

In times of lows, one needs to settle down even more. Don't overexert yourself emotionally, don't keep self-denying and doubting, but calm down a bit, reset some small, easily achievable goals, step by step, and give yourself a little encouragement every time you accomplish one.

Accepting that you need to progress slowly, accepting that you're an average person, but at the same time trying to live your life, trying to improve yourself, and moving towards what you want to be and how you want to live your life.

Everyone is a bit narcissistic and feels that what they want they should get. But reality will give you feedback and put boundaries on your narcissism. A lot of things take time to build up, experience failures and reflections, and repeated efforts before they can be realized, if ever.

Start with a quiet moment, start with small goals, and get your groove back.

I hope you become a better version of yourself!
